1.4.3
30 Jun 2026

- Keep your address private: hide the start and end of a shared route so it never shows exactly where you set off or finished.
- Text posts get a fresh look with colourful gradient backdrops, and you can pick your favourite.
- Mention people with @username in a post, and they'll get a notification.
- A big speed-up under the hood: a much smaller download, faster-loading charts, and smoother recording on long trips.
- Plus a large batch of stability and reliability fixes across the app and backend.

1.4.0
23 Jun 2026
- Introducing Revs: a full-screen social feed for car people. Swipe through posts one at a time, with For You and Following tabs.
- Post text, photos, or a car event, and share a mod straight to Revs from your garage.
- Follow other owners, and like, comment on, and save the posts you want to come back to.
- Set up your profile: pick an @username, add a bio, and crop your own avatar and banner.
- Create car meets and events, and tap Interested or Going to RSVP.
- Find people with the new user search, and report anything that doesn't belong.
- Fuel map now flags out-of-date prices, so a months-old number can't pose as today's cheapest or win the cheapest-in-view marker.
- Cleaner, flatter redesign across the main screens, with editing now on full pages instead of pop-ups and a photo-backed garage picker.
- Swipe left and right to move between Dashboard, Fuel, Costs, and Mods.
- Redesigned setup: a cleaner step-by-step first-run flow that fills your car's details straight from its registration.
- Plus security and reliability fixes across the app and backend.
1.3.1
18 Jun 2026
- Vehicle Check now flags clocking: if the MOT history shows the mileage dropping between tests, you get a clear warning with the figures.
- New pre-purchase verdict card sums up a checked car at a glance: tax, MOT, mileage, export and ULEZ flags, with a green all-clear when nothing's wrong.
- Reality check: look up your own car and BlackBox compares your logged mileage against the average from its MOT history.
- Compare got a big upgrade: it now crowns an overall winner with a head-to-head breakdown, and pulls full DVLA specs (CO2, Euro status, ULEZ, colour and more) for both cars, even when you compare two of your own.
- Settings has been reorganised from one long page into clean, focused sections you tap into, so everything is easier to find.
- Plate lookups are now cached for 24 hours, so re-checking the same car is instant and uses fewer of your daily lookups.
- Insurance and tax expenses now repeat monthly or yearly by default, so renewals stay on your books without re-entering them.
- Zoom into the fuel map and it now shows every priced station in view, not just the ones inside your search radius.
- Complimentary Pro accounts now show as such in billing instead of reading as a free plan.
- Smoother app launch: the splash screen now waits for icons to load, so you no longer briefly see icon names on first open.
- A large reliability pass: safer backup restore, more accurate cost-per-mile, steadier trip detection and speeding alerts, and assorted fixes across the app and backend.
1.3.0
11 Jun 2026
- New Quick Tools hub gathers the trip estimator, 0-60 timer, vehicle check, car comparison, sale listing, garage card, and year in review in one place.
- Tap your monthly cost to open a Monthly Breakdown showing exactly where the money went, with arrows to step back through earlier months.
- Recurring expenses: set insurance and tax to repeat monthly or yearly and BlackBox fills in the past and upcoming entries for you.
- Compare your car against any registration: look up a plate with DVLA and see specs side by side, even with just one car in your garage.
- Trip maps now handle GPS signal gaps cleanly instead of drawing a straight line across the missing stretch.
- Faster, smoother fuel map that opens straight away using your last known location.
- Security hardening across the app and backend.
- Forgotten trip recordings are no longer lost: the 12-hour auto-stop now saves the drive, and turning off auto trip detection mid-trip keeps the trip too.
- Fixed a rare case where a new entry could save to the wrong car right after switching cars.
- Recurring expenses you delete now stay deleted across all your devices, and backups always capture your very latest edits.
- Trip Cost Estimator now uses UK gallons correctly, so estimates for UK drivers are no longer about 20% too high.
- You can pan and zoom the trips map while a recording is running, and the cheapest nearby station shows for everyone again.
- New entries default to your local date (no more yesterday's date just after midnight), plus dozens of smaller fixes.
1.2.3
10 Jun 2026
- Smarter fuel economy alerts, now with a phone notification when your MPG drops and fewer false alarms from partial fills.
- Oil and service reminders factor in how much you actually drive, not just the calendar, so high-mileage drivers get reminded on time.
- Price-drop alerts now show how the new price compares to what you last paid at that station.
- Clearer fuel map in busy areas: it shows the cheapest stations first and reveals more as you zoom in. Your starred stations always stay on the map.
- Driving scores now react properly to hard acceleration, braking, and speeding.
- Fixes for auto trip detection, reminders, and the sale listing generator.

- Switching between miles and kilometres no longer drops fields recorded as zero.
- Declared the background-location permissions Google Play requires for trip recording.
1.0.6
18 May 2026
- Sharing a phone is safer: signing in on a device that already holds data now asks whether to keep it or start fresh, instead of silently merging someone else's garage into your account.
- Signing out now fully clears your data, settings, and saved places from the device.
- "Continue as guest" now asks for a second tap to confirm, so you don't enter guest mode by accident.
- Faster vehicle lookups, with DVLA results cached to keep things snappy.
